Staunch Properties is a Kansas City-based carpentry and construction firm dedicated to building high-quality, custom exterior wood structures. Founded in 2016, we have completed over 400 projects across the metro area, specializing in creating outdoor spaces that families can enjoy for years to come.

Meet the Owner: Brian Imes

Carpentry isn't just a trade for Brian Imes; it's a heritage. As the stepson of a custom home architect who built in Missouri for 50 years, Brian was raised on construction sites, learning the rhythms of a job site as early as eight years old.

Brian's path to Staunch Properties was unique. Before returning to his roots in woodworking, he spent years as a well-known figure in the local service industry and competed professionally as an MMA fighter and boxer. In his thirties, he began taking on small woodworking projects for friends and patrons who noticed his attention to detail. What started as a side passion quickly grew into a full-time vocation.

Today, Brian brings that same fighter's discipline and dedication to every project. He leads a team of skilled tradespeople who share his commitment to "square work ethics" and positive attitudes. Whether he is on-site with his team or teaching the trade to his young son, Brian builds with legacy in mind.
